Toe-Up Socks with a Turned Heel

It’s been famously said that Ginger Rogers did everything Frank Astaire did, “backwards and in high heels.” If you’re a sock knitter ready for a similar challenge, then this class is for you! We’ll start with a double-ended cast on and learn to shape every part of a traditional sock in reverse- toe, gusset, heel turn, everything!- before ending with Elizabeth Zimmerman’s Sewn Bind-Off at the cuff. This technique is perfect for knitters who want the convenience of toe-up socks and the flawless fit of a traditional heel. Come prepared to work hard and learn lots!
There is a second session on October 23 from 9-11 Central time.
