Shearing Day at Valeyrie Farms
Learn about shearing, wool production in the United States and the many fine wool and heritage breeds we raise at Valeyrie Farms.
The day will include:
- Breed education
- Hands on skirting demo
- Carding and combing fiber
- Scouring demos
- Shearing demos
- Spinning demos
- Light refreshments
- Fiber market
The farm features 2 beautiful decks for crafting and nature watching.
Please let us know if you’d be interested in a Scouring/fiber prep/workshop at the farm, as we could set up a day for that for a ~$90 class fee.
This event is held on a farm, wear shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting muddy. It’s not very muddy, but it’s a possibility.
