Our Teachers
Sheri Pitroski
Sheri Pitroski has been knitting and crocheting since she was a child. Growing up with her grandparents, she learned many skills from them both, and the needle arts in particular have been a large part of her life throughout the next 60 years. Sheri has owned and operated three yarn shops in her career; the first in Wisconsin where she grew up, the second in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and finally The Yarn Patch in Crossville, Tennessee (2006-2019). Sheri says she has been “Blessed beyond measure to have had three successful businesses in the field of fiber arts. It’s never work when you love what you do.” Sheri has been teaching for over 45 years and continues to teach classes at The Yarn Patch for new owners Heather and Robert McLellan. Sheri lives with her husband, Michael, and their three rescue dogs in Fairfield Glade, TN. She loves camping, baking, old movies and keeping her fingers wrapped up in yarn as much as possible!

She became the leader of the Knoxville Knit and Crochet Group in 2015 which hosted weekly meet-ups until 2020. The Facebook community is still going strong and in person get-togethers are looking to pick back up this year. Jessica teaches crochet and weaving at The Yarn Patch. Jessica says “I am always happy to be included in sharing the joy of fiber with new and veteran crafters.”
