Weaving: Introduction to Lace Weaves

February 28, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm CST

After you know how to warp your loom and make a plain weave, take your weaving to the next level with four simple and eye-catching lace weaves from around the world. In this class we will learn the basics of leno, Brooks’ bouquet, Danish medallion, and Spanish eyelet. Come with your loom already warped for a balanced plain weave at least 10 inches wide. Bring weft yarn and your shuttles, a small crochet hook, and a flat pickup stick slightly wider than your weaving. (A ruler will do just fine for that.)

Skill Level: Beginner. Must know how to warp a loom and do plain weave.

Instructor Name: Betsy Gray

Course fee does not include required materials.
(Please note that, since we’re using outside teachers, we have a 24 hour cancellation policy for refunds. If the class has fewer than 2 sign-ups, it will be cancelled.)
